Patio Garden: The First Three Weeks

Picked up some succulents, cactus, herbs, and a jalapeno plant on an impulse a few weeks ago.

Day 1.

Back row, from left: Cilantro, Parsley. Front row, from left: Oregano, Basil, Thyme.

We planted the herbs in an extra wine crate I had lying around. The soil is Soil Mender Raised Bed Mix with a coconut husk mat acting as mulch. We lined the box with an Ikea FRAKTA shopping bag which just happened to fit perfectly, with some trimming for height.

Three weeks of growth.

It really is impressive how far these little guys have come in just a few weeks. I’ve got to be careful, though, container gardening could become an addiction. I’m already planning to pick up a Mexican lime tree when Redenta’s has them in stock again.
